Network fees

Gas wallet

Also called: Gas station, Fee sponsorship

A wallet holding each network's native coin that tops up other wallets with exactly the fee they need, so wallets holding only tokens can still send.

A gas wallet solves the native coin problem centrally. Rather than keeping a little ETH, BNB, POL and TRX in every wallet, one funded wallet supplies the fee each transfer needs, just before it's sent.

Without one, token payouts fail whenever a wallet runs out of the native coin, and every customer deposit address needs funding before it can be swept.

What to look for

  • Top-ups that send exactly what's missing, not round amounts left lying around.
  • A daily cap, so a bug or an attack can't drain it.
  • An alert before it runs dry.
  • Every top-up recorded like any other transfer.

On Valtu

You choose one operational wallet as your workspace's gas wallet and fund it with each network's native coin. Per network you decide whether it sponsors payouts (the payout waits for the exact fee it's missing), funds sweeps, and refills operational wallets below a level you set. Every top-up is an ordinary, recorded transfer under the same signing rules. A daily cap per network bounds what it can spend, and you're warned when its balance runs low. On Tron, energy can be rented through your own provider key instead.
