Remittance

Stablecoin rails for cross-border remittance

Fund corridors and pay recipients in USDT or USDC: saved partner addresses, retry-safe batches, screening with your own provider and a full audit log.

Remittance companies already move money across borders; stablecoins give them a rail that settles in minutes, runs around the clock and reaches anyone with a wallet or a local exchange account. The work is in doing it reliably at volume: the right network for each corridor, payouts that can't go out twice, and a record that satisfies your compliance team.

Where stablecoins fit

  • Funding a corridor: move USDT or USDC to a partner or an exchange on the receiving side, instead of pre-funding with wires.
  • Paying recipients directly: to their own wallet, when that's what they want.
  • Collecting from senders who already hold stablecoins.

How it runs on Valtu

WalletTypeRole
ReservetreasuryMost of the funds; moves only with two approvers, to saved addresses
PayoutsoperationalFunded per run or per day; pays recipients and partners
Senders (optional)userA permanent deposit address per sender
GasoperationalNetwork fees for token payouts and sweeps
  • Partners and exchange accounts go in the address book. A new address waits out a cooldown before it counts as saved, so a changed address can't be slipped in unnoticed.
  • Each transfer carries your transfer id as externalId, so a timeout and retry can never send twice. See idempotency.
  • Batches of up to 100 send a day's recipient payouts in one call, each succeeding or failing on its own.
  • Signed webhooks report each payout to CONFIRMED, with the transaction hash as the receipt.

Picking the network per corridor

What recipients and partners can receive decides it. USDT on Tron is widely held in many emerging markets; USDC on Base or Polygon costs cents to move; Ethereum suits large partner settlements. Show recipients the exact network: the most common lost payment is the right coin on the wrong network. See USDT and USDC.

Compliance controls

  • Screening of recipient addresses and sender deposits with your own Elliptic, Chainalysis, Blockaid or Webacy account. Risky ones are held for your team. See KYT.
  • Approval policies by amount, destination and outflow over time, including daily ceilings per network.
  • An audit log of every approval, policy change and API key, exportable for examiners.

Valtu provides wallets, signing and controls. Your money transmission licences, customer due diligence and reporting obligations stay with you.
