USDT
Also called: Tether
Tether's US-dollar stablecoin, issued separately on Tron, Ethereum, BNB Chain and other networks; the most widely used stablecoin.
USDT is issued by Tether and aims to be worth one US dollar. It's the most widely held and traded stablecoin, and on Tron it's a common way to send dollars in many emerging markets.
USDT isn't one token. Tether issues it separately on each network, and each version only exists on its own network:
| Network | Standard | Decimals |
|---|---|---|
| Tron | TRC-20 | 6 |
| Ethereum | ERC-20 | 6 |
| BNB Chain | BEP-20 | 18 |
Customers will send USDT on whichever network they're used to, so show the network name next to every USDT address.
On Valtu
USDT is supported on Tron, Ethereum and BNB Chain, and as USDT0 on Polygon. Each coin page lists the exact contract Valtu accepts; look-alike tokens are ignored. On Tron, payouts and sweeps need energy, which Valtu can rent through your own provider key.
